Laying down every day is still required by a Mom that cherishes quiet time, but a 3 1/2 year old taking a nap every day is not always realistic.
Some days I can hear a whole fairy tale adventure unraveling through the monitor, "No mean witch... don't try and take Princess Harper's magic wand...
Other days I could swear a herd of elephants are in her room dong martial arts.
My favorite days are when she goes to nap wearing one thing and wakes up in a completely different outfit. Always creative... Who knew Snow White had a pair of pink flip flops.
Finding this mess on H's bed after nap time... did not put a smile on this Mama's face.
And turning to find a closet full of empty hangers... My fresh face from just enjoying a few hours of quiet time melted away almost instantly.
I asked what she was doing. She replied, "Maggie and Dora wanted to play dress-up" Hmmmm...
On her bed were her partners in crime wearing a dress and H's favorite shirt. Look guilty to me.
