Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6

New King James Version:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

The special letter we wrote for you.  We read it during your dedication!

Crewbie, crew-man, buddy, bubs, chubby bubby… you already have several special nicknames that we have coined for you. Your big sisters can’t help but love on you constantly and are quick to exclaim, “That’s my baby brother not yours!” when another kid gets too close!

 You have been part of our family for 8 months now and already we can’t imagine a day without you.  Your smile that stretches from ear to ear, your sweet, sweet demeanor, your little giggles when we tickle your chubby thighs, the way you growl while you eat, the way your legs kick like crazy when you hear the bath water turn on.  How the sound of your sisters laughing and playing can keep you entertained for hours.  There are so many little things that we just love about you and we look forward to each morning and those big bright eyes and huge grin that greets us with the start of a new day!

As parents, our joy comes from watching you grow and discover new things.  Being there for you when you succeed and offering help when things are hard.  We look forward to all the opportunities we will have to teach you new things.  Whether it’s something fun like riding a bike or throwing a baseball, or developing your faith and trust in Jesus, we want to be part of helping you grow into a strong and compassionate young man.

 As your parents we need to emphasize the importance of having a relationship with Jesus.  We need to make sure that HE is a part of everyday life in our home.  Show that daily prayer is important, that attending Church on Sunday isn’t an obligation but a way to grow our faith, and in good times and hard times turn to Jesus for guidance.  We know that the examples we set for you are what’s going to mold you into the special person you become.

Your future possibilities are endless, and we hope that you rely on God to help guide your decisions as you grow.  That is why we chose Proverbs 3:5-5 for your Life Verse:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

We are beyond blessed that God has provided us with such an amazing and sweet little boy. We love you through and through Crew-man!

You slept through most of it.  Tired little boy:)

Harper saying her prayer for you.

Quincy adding her own prayer

While Pastor John was praying you kept trying to each his watch.
