We made a deal. She learn to pedal her big girl bike with training wheels like a pro... and maybe she could get a new bike for her birthday. She took the challenge head on. Any timidness she had was lost.
After church one Sunday we went to Toys R Us and let her look at the bikes to see which was her favorite.
She bypassed princess and barbie bikes and headed straight to the boys' section. Her heart knew exactly what she wanted.
While I distracted the girls, Will bought the bike and snuck it out to the van. We decided to give her an early birthday surprise, so that she could enjoy her new gift while the weather was still nice.
